How well can AI navigate topics of law?
Everyone is talking about artificial intelligence, or AI for short, and the topic is regularly in the news. We hear a lot about the capabilities of AI models and the jobs they could do in the future. Nevertheless, contact with AI in everyday life is at best indirect or often goes unnoticed.
This demo event aims to give the audience an understanding of what is possible and where the limits lie.
In the spirit of man versus machine, the example of law will be used to show what AI can do. To this end, Prof. Dr. Kai von Lewinski, holder of the Chair of Public Law, Media and Information Law, will compete against an AI in a quiz. Humans and AIs will be asked questions verbally and then have to provide answers for the audience. Some questions will be prepared, but the audience is expressly invited to ask questions about legal aspects, for example about a disagreement with a neighbor.
The quiz will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Steffen Herbold, holder of the Chair of AI Engineering, who will lead the evening and explain how AI works.
