Data and Knowledge Engineering

Welcome to the Data and Knowledge Engineering (DKE) group. The main research focus of DKE is to build and develop solutions that can be used as mediators between diverse data sources and different applications/end users making use of machine learning techniques. This includes, but not limited to, extracting data and knowledge from different data sources, knowledge representation using different semantic web technologies, combine and integrate these data making use of knowledge graphs. In particular, we focus on the following topics:

• Data and knowledge extraction from different data sources
• Knowledge representation
• Semantic data integration
• Knowledge graphs
• Machine learning for data management
