First-year students

To get started at our university, we strongly recommend taking part in the programme of our orientation weeks.

More information on the events for Bachelor students are available on the German version of this website, as the information events are held in German. The social events organized by the FSinfo, the faculty's student committee, are open to everyone.

Master's students are welcome to attend the social events organised by the FSinfo. In addition, the Dean's office holds a welcome meeting on Mondays of the first lecture week, usually followed by a Q&A session with student volunteers.

To familiarize yourself with our faculty's IT services (which are not to be confused with the services provided by the ZIM), please take a look at the website of the FIM support.

International Master's students are strongly advised to take part in the international orientation weeks offered by the International Office.

Our international coordinator and his team also offer events specific to our faculty. German/Austrian nationals are also welcome to attend, but the information events are mostly an introduction to the workings of a German university and life in Passau/Germany in general.
